Finding Hope Through Alzheimer’s Research Participation

This interview is brought to you in partnership withĀ EisaiĀ and is part of theĀ Journey to DiagnosisĀ series.

Bob Ehlers wasĀ  a vice president of product management in the semiconductor software industry when he first began noticing changes in his memory. Diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease at 58, he now lives in Arizona and takes an active role in shaping his life after diagnosis.

As one of the early participants in the Clarity AD clinical trial of lecanemab, Ehlers received treatment at a critical point and has continued to do well. His experience has given him a firsthand view of how research, early intervention, and access to care can shape life after diagnosis.

Ehlers has also become an advocate for people living with younger-onset Alzheimer’s who are active and independent but often struggle to find support. He mentors entrepreneurs through SCORE, helping hundreds of small business owners, and launching Conexo Casa, a nonprofit focused on using technology to support people living with neurocognitive conditions.

Join us Thursday, April 9, at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET for a Live Talk with Ehlers about participating in Alzheimer’s research, the realities of younger-onset diagnosis, the need for better support for people in the early stages, and how purpose, advocacy, and connection can help people keep moving forward.

RSVP to hear Bob Ehlers’ story.
