At AAIC, researchers presented data from Biogen’s Phase 2 study of their tau-silencing drug diranersen. Though it failed to meet its primary goal in its trial, the results were promising enough for the company to proceed to a Phase 3 study. Alamar Biosciences also released a blood test that measures a biomarker of tau tangles, which may be more convenient for researchers than lumbar punctures or brain scans.
