Kisunla and Leqembi are both FDA-approved anti-amyloid antibodies that slow cognitive decline by a small-to-modest amount. While Leqembi requires bi-weekly infusions for the first 18 months and then under-the-skin injections indefinitely, Kisunla only requires monthly infusions until brain scans show that beta-amyloid has been cleared. While Kisunla only targets beta-amyloid plaques, Leqembi targets both plaques and long strings of toxic beta-amyloid called protofibrils.
